Indiana Wholesale Distributors Association, Inc. (IWDA)

IWDA is a not for profit state wide membership association dedicated to serving the interests of  Indiana wholesale distributors and manufacturers in the convenience and grocery store products industry.

With tobacco being one of the many items sold, licensed Indiana distributors collect the tobacco excise tax on behalf of the state.  Other products purchased and sold by IWDA distributors include candy, tobacco, snacks, beverages, health and beauty care items, general merchandise, food and other groceries.

About

Our story began with a group of like-minded individuals who shared a vision for a better future. They recognized the need for a membership association that would support and promote good business practices. Today, we continue to build on their legacy by providing our members with the resources they need to succeed in a rapidly changing, highly controlled industry.

Founded in 1947 as the Indiana Tobacco and Candy Association, IWDA has been the only organization representing and advocating for the well being of Indiana wholesale distributors and manufacturers serving the C-store industry for over 75 years!

IWDA is proud to promote and support  the common interests of Indiana wholesale distributors selling products and merchandise to grocery and convenience stores.

IWDA is comprised of two classes of membership:

1) Regular = Wholesale Distributors

2) Associate = Those working in an allied industry which includes manufacturers, manufacturer's representatives, brokers and other related businesses.

IWDA distributor members provide the middle link between manufacturers and the retailers of products consumers purchase every day.
